{The Nickels}
Hello! We are Matt and Rachel Nickel, and together we are Nickel Images. We take photographs of people in love. It’s sort of what we love to do.

There are so many things I could tell you about who I am and how I got here… but instead of writing a novel the size of Atlas Shrugged, I’ll give you the highlight reel:
-I’m the mother of two really hilarious toddlers, Hazel and Juniper.
-I’m in love with fashion, interior design, thrifting and buying for a cause. My current favorites are: j.crew, madewell, kate spade, 31 bits jewelry, and YSL bright orange lipstick.
-I’ll buy anything with a horse print on it. Horses are my crack. I have two of them. Wanna go riding?
-I’m a sucker for Seattle. Even the weather makes my soul sing. I never want to live anywhere else.
-One of my life goals is to be better than Martha Stewart at everything. I sew, bake, cook, craft, decorate, and of course, take pictures. Someday Martha, someday.
-I am one of six children, the middle child, and was home-schooled until the eighth grade…. that being said, I can read really fast.
-I absolutely love taking photographs.

If I was a dog, I would be a golden retriever. I guess it is because I enjoy people. I am laid back and I generally don’t let things stress me out too much. This helps me be a better photographer because I can roll with whatever comes our way. I really like the fact that that Rachel and I get to work together. I’d be lost without her. Literally. I’d be perpetually driving around in circles on the backstreets of Seattle hoping to find my way back to I-5. We have fun together and really enjoy creating art that blesses others.
