Pardon my camera geekery here. The other day we rented a tilt-shift lens to have some fun with at a wedding. I love the dreamy creamy images this lens creates, but since I’d never used one before I thought I better polish up on my non-existent skills. So, I asked Lonnie if he’d model for us. Lonnie, like the rest of us, is more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it. But I’m pretty sure he rocked it. Guys seem to especially NOT like their photo taken. I think it’s because, unlike girls, they don’t spend hours in front of mirrors talking to themselves, trying out new dance moves and also practising poses for that fashion show they just *might* get asked to be in someday. (Wait, what?! You DON’T do that?!) I’m almost positive we girls all do it since I’ve witnessed my two-year old checking herself out in the mirror for at least ten minutes. With all that to say, all that practising actually does come in handy.
So the last two photos in this post are shot with film, on a point and shoot camera. I’m totally in love with the effect, and it was so much fun playing around with a Yashika T4… or was it a T3? I can’t remember, but all I know is I need to get me one of those!
