Nickel Images – Seattle Wedding Photographer

Okay, so I think ‘technically’ you’d call this an elopement, but, instead we’ll just call it a really big awesome beautiful secret wedding.  Darling Heather was at a Halloween party with me when she mentioned wanting family photos, and that we need to get together and go over details. Awesome! So, we met, and that’s when she told me the juicy details. Her fiance Jason,  (who, by the way, is awesome) and her have a tradition to go over to Winthrop (amazing place you should go to) the day after Thanksgiving. It’s snowy and beautiful on the other side of the mountains and a perfect spot for a wedding. So this year, they decide this is it… they are getting married.  So, off we go to capture this amazing event. Matt officiated the wedding, and I took the photos. Then we stopped at an old abandoned farm and put Jason’s Eames chair in the snow. Totally worth it. Some of my favorite parts were their amazing style, complete with their son decked out in an awesome scarf, the sense of adventure the day, Jason writing vows not only to Heather, but also Heather’s son, and the dedication this couple shares. We wish them all the happiness and joy that comes with marrying your best friend!
