I know it’s Sunday, and I know this is bound to reach few readers… but it’s not my fault that 2012 decided to show it’s little face on a weekend. It’s the beginning. I am so happy that 2011 came to a close. It was a wonderful year, but it was also a hard year. I keep seeing people’s posts on the goals they smashed, the cool places they went, the amazing people they met… and of course, their favorite photos from the year. As for me, I’m going to relish the successes, but I’m also confessing that along with the highs, there were an equal amount of lows. Too often we see an obstacle, see a problem, or experience hardship and we see it as ruining the opportunity, making our life hard and being unfair. Although these feelings are completely natural (I should know, I’m a pro at having a pity party), sometimes they are a roadblock to the growth that can happen. I know everyone has probably heard that before… but I’m just reminding you that in the midst of turmoil there, more than likely, will be that voice that calls you to step up to the challenge, and grow through it. I encourage growth. It can hurt, and it’s not always fun, but the rewards are far greater.
Here’s to growing more, dreaming bigger, accomplishing more, and becoming what you are destined to be!
