Do we just take photos of weddings?
Although a large portion of our work is weddings, it’s not all we do. We will gladly photograph your dog, your family, or your event. We even do commercial work.
How far in advance do you book weddings?
You can book us a year in advance.
Are you married?
Yep! We tied our knot in 2006 and now have two girls, Hazel and Juniper.
Rachel looks like she’s still in eighth grade. How old are you??
Matt is 32, and Rachel is 27.
How do I book you for my wedding?
First, e-mail us and see if your date is available, and look at our wedding collections. After that, we suggest sitting down and meeting with us to see if we’re a good fit for your style and personality. We will then sign a contract and get a retainer fee to hold the date. We do not hold dates or reserve dates until we receive a contract and retainer fee.
What equipment do you use?
We use professional Canon DSLR cameras and lenses. We may also use film cameras at times and have a collection of fun cameras, including Polaroids, Holga’s and Yashika’s. We bring backup gear to every event.
How many weddings do we do a year?
We limit our weddings to a maximum of 24 a year.
What do you wear to weddings?
We don’t want to stick out like sore thumbs at your wedding. It’s not a funeral, so we aren’t going to look like we’re in mourning. You can expect us to be wearing stylish neutral colors. Matt might even break out his bow-tie.
What should I wear to my shoot?
You should wear what makes to feel good. We love style, so we encourage you to show off your best. Bring as many outfits as you want, and please, leave logos and writing at home.
What’s your ideal client?
We love creative people, stylish people, people with a good story and people who understand the importance of good photographs.
How would you describe your style?
We are mixture of photo journalistic (meaning we take photos of events as they are happening) and guided experiential photography (meaning we help you connect with each other to capture photographs that aren’t cheesy fake posed.)
How many images will I receive?
For weddings, we average 50-70 images an hour. For engagement sessions and lifestyle sessions, you will receive 50-65 final images.
How long till images are processed?
Weddings: 4-8 weeks, all other sessions: 2-4 weeks.

Do you have insurance:

What happens if it’s raining on the day of my session:
We live in Seattle, so rain is inevitable. If it’s just sprinkling, chances are that it will clear up for the shoot, or we will be able to go ahead and work in it. If it’s raining harder than a drizzle, we may have to reschedule.
